someone just inspire me to blogging again! so i will but with a few changes and concept, i will start blogging about quotes and pictures that i love since i fell in love with them now, besides they are my boyfriend replacements. but not to forget about the earth and green lifestyle! so i hope u will enjoy my new concept.

right now all i need is to go on a vacation and just relax...there are so many things inside my head right now, i dont even know what am i thinking. with all the assignments, presentation and midterms i feel like i want to run away and disappear..if only that would be that easy..

for the first time in few months or years that i've been single n so freaking lonely, i never felt like this before, this is such a freaking feeling. i hate to be jealous just by watching people look into each other eyes.. i hate it, hate it so much, because it never ever cross my mind to have this kind of feeling, all this while i was just fake everything, the whole jealous thing, never been so serious about it but know everything turn out differently!! please lah get rid of this feeling, im just fine with the single thing and i think im use to be lonely!!

i believe that there is nothing that we can't really do, so do what you want to do and make your dreams come true because there is no one can stop you accept you, yourself!! take control of yourself and don't let others knock you down.

Where do paper shopping bags go when you're done with them?
When you're done using paper shopping bags, for shopping or other household reuses, a couple of things can happen. If minimally-inked (or printed with soy or other veggie-based inks) they can be composted; otherwise, they can be recycled in most mixed-paper recycling schemes, or they can be thrown away (which is not something we recommend).

If you compost them, the bags break down and go from paper to a rich soil nutrient over a period of a couple of months; if you throw them away, they'll eventually break down of the period of many, many years (and without the handy benefits that compost can provide). If you choose to recycle paper bags, then things get a little tricky.

The paper must first be re-pulped, which usually requires a chemical process involving compounds like hydrogen peroxide, sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide, which bleach and separate the pulp fibers. The fibers are then cleaned and screened to be sure they're free of anything that would contaminate the paper-making process, and are then washed to remove any leftover ink before being pressed and rolled into paper, as before.

hey my not so green world!!

i have been living with the people who just take this thing for granted. it is so sad when i try to pursue other people to take care of the earth but the people surround me just ignore it, this people is my own family.to them what is the point to take care of the environment because there are many people out there who just don't care about this, what they mean is people still litter, waste the electricity, cutting trees, open burning, plastic here and there and the list goes on. so to them if we are the only one who cares the world still the same it is just a little or no changed! OMG how can i change their perceptions. when we go out for shopping i try to ask them not to take the plastic bag or reduce the usage and instead use the shopping bags, but they ignore me and still take the plastic plus take extra plastic, what is the point i just don't get it, common lah people grow up and think further i'm not asking you to go green extremely it just a simple act and will not effect your daily life at al but why is it so hard for them to just listen to me, every time i talk about this thing they will tease me and condemned me. i hate this type of people if you don't want to do it then don't do it but please don't tease and condemned the people who do it! show your support instead of the nonsense!

the whether is just getting so hectic!

when the whether is getting hot please don't complained people!this is what you have done so take it as the result. as we all know that open burning, air pollution and so on are one of the main causes for the thinning of the ozone layer, so that is why the earth are hotter than ever. sooner we all will get the skin cancer!! so as the human who cares please do something to make this thing became more serious please do something to help and not complained!!

more green tips!!

since i got some feedback from my previous post, i was so excited to write the new one to gives more green tips...the idea of start a new club at college was brilliant so me and my friends will figure it out how to do it so in the mean time here are some of the new green tips:

going green is all about passion, patient,determination and effort, without it you will never succeed and can never do it, you will often felt like giving up because you are the only one who cares about the mother earth at least that is what you think, in here you are not alone, you will always have me =) i'm always get excited and easily get mad if people seem like they don't even care about this planet earth, people like this take things for granted and don't really care about the future of our nature and please don't be one of it.

here are the green tips!!

1) turn seemingly useless junk into fun works of art, or even a jewellery!

2) turn off the water when you are not using it - like when you brush your teeth.

3) use rechargeable batteries instead of disposable batteries.

4) carpool, take public transport, ride a bike and walk short distances!

5) plant a tree - it reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) levels and adds oxygen.

6) take advantage of our country's warm climate and air dry your cloth!!

7) use the library, buy second hand books,swap with friends or get an eBook.

8) try hand sanitiser - it does not send the yucky chemicals down the drain!

9) use old rags (kain buruk) or sponges to clean up messes instead of paper towel.

10) buy minimally packaged goods, it could reduce your garbage significantly.

11) unplug unused electronics - they still use energy even when switched off!!

12) use refills for shower gel instead of buying new bottles each time.

13) if you are at home turn on only what you need.

14) buy products from companies that value the environment (the body shop).

15) never shop on an empty stomach - it can lead you yo buy more than you need!

16) print your assignments on both sides of the paper - this reduces paper wastage!!

17) use natural sunlight instead of electric light whenever possible.

18) don't waste too much time in front of your computer - do some exercises!!

19) don't use electronic exercise machines - use a bicycle or go roller-blading!!

20) bring your own spoon and forks even cups or mugs whenever you go to eat!

the last tips i really do it, i bring my own spoon and forks and i even put it at my handbags so that i can easily use it, actually i really hate to use the spoon that the restaurant or the cafe' give because i'm afraid if they don't clean it well or it might be rusty sometimes. all this thing really bother me but at Kuantan, i dont practice this any more even if i bring it all the time because i'm afraid people will judge me and tease me. but on this coming new sem i will do it and let people say what they want. and most of the tips that i give here i have done it so many times it really works there are some that will change you, some will give you advantages, and some might just make realise how important is this thing.

we are talking about our nature here so please take things seriously and do your part to save the earth. the ice is melting at Antarctica, the animals lost their habitats because of your new homes, the trees was cut to make your magazines and newspaper each day, the whether getting hectic because of the thinning of the ozone layer from the open burning you make. soon what will be left for our next generation?? think about it!!

green tips!!

there just so many green tips that we can follow and do it in our daily lifestyle! so why not we just spend a little time and effort to make it work. this might be a simple act to you but actually a really hugely one to the planet earth.together we can make this work and help saving the mother earth!

so here are some tips that you can follow:

1) say no plastic - bring your own shopping bag, boil your water don't buy the bottle water!

2) turn the TV volume down -it takes more energy for the sound to be louder.

3) recycle - glass, metal, plastic, paper, the possibilities are endless!

4) turn off unnecessary appliances when you are not using them.

5) avoid using disposable items as much as possible - they will end up in landfills.

6) spend a day in nature to truly understand and to learn to appreciate it.

7) share your DVDs, games, books and clothes with your friends.

8) when shopping go for the biodegradable,locally produced and choices.

9) keep your car tires adequately inflated for better fuel economy - if you have a car.

10) celebrate earth day, earth hour, and so on don't forget to spread the word!

11) buy energy efficient light bulbs - they are worth it in the long run.

12) plan your errands to avoids going around in circles and to save petrol!

13) reuse clothing, and find something snazzy (stylish/flashy) to do with it - be creative!

14) try organic fresh fruits and vegetable - your body will thank you!

15) educate yourself about global warming and teach others!

16) stop buying unnecessary stuff - it fuels the destruction of the environment.

17) use soap rather than shower gel because they are less polluting.

18) take a shower instead of a bath - try to keep it below 10 minutes! ( namy loves this )

19) don't litter, don't dump trash in any body of water , or on the ground!

20) start a club at colleges, or anything to raise awareness about the environment!

i love the last one but i could not make it real if i don't have ant supporters!so whoever want to join please let me know and we will start a new club at our colleges soon.

Only about 12 percent of "custom" plastic bottles, a category dominated by water, were recycled in 2003, according to industry consultant R.W. Beck, Inc. That's 40 million bottles a day that went into the trash or became litter. In contrast, the recycling rate for plastic soft drink bottles is around 30 percent.

The low water bottle recycling rate also impacts the overall recycling rate of all recyclable plastic containers. That's fallen from 53 percent in 1994 to 19 percent in 2003.

Plastics should be recycled so that less petroleum — a finite commodity — is consumed, Franklin says.

"The environmental impacts are in the drilling of the oil," she adds, noting that burning fossil fuel also releases gases that many scientists tie to global warming.

A second reason for recycling, Franklin says, is the litter factor. While plastic water bottles are not a significant percentage of overall waste, the empties are certainly all around us visually.

Thirdly, she says, is the fact that the domestic plastics recycling industry faces a shortage because so much is being exported to China for recycling there. That shortage has also led to fears that some companies will go bankrupt.

"There is a means to reclaim these bottles and use them to make new bottles and other products at home," Franklin says, "but they (recyclers) simply can't get enough of the containers to do it."

Strategies
The Container Recycling Institute thinks a nationwide bottle deposit law would create the incentive to recycle, especially when it comes to plastic bottles, and ease the burden on taxpayers, who pay for cleaning up litter.

"A national bottle bill, or producer responsibility bill, could turn it around and shift the costs from government and taxpayers to producers and consumers," Franklin says.

States with deposit laws already recycle four out of five bottles, Franklin notes, thanks in part to an army of recyclers — from Boy Scout Troops to office cleaning crews — that turns one person's trash into their income.

Eleven states have bottle bills but they are a patchwork with no two alike, she adds, and only three states, California, Hawaii and Maine, include plastic water bottles in their laws.

A national law, she says, should cover new containers that didn't exist 20 years ago, e.g. plastic water bottles, and enforce a dime-per-bottle deposit "as it is in Michigan, where deposit containers are recovered at a rate of 95 percent."

But while deposit legislation has had varying degrees of bipartisan support in Congress over the years, it has never become law.

Franklin blames opposition from the beverage industry, saying its campaign contributions have given it "incredible political clout in Congress and actually in every state legislature in the country."

Globally, the mercury is already up more than 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius), and even more in sensitive polar regions. And the effects of rising temperatures aren’t waiting for some far-flung future. They’re happening right now. Signs are appearing all over, and some of them are surprising. The heat is not only melting glaciers and sea ice, it’s also shifting precipitation patterns and setting animals on the move.

Some impacts from increasing temperatures are already happening.

• Ice is melting worldwide, especially at the Earth’s poles. This includes mountain glaciers, ice sheets covering West Antarctica and Greenland, and Arctic sea ice.

Other effects could happen later this century, if warming continues.

• Sea levels are expected to rise between 7 and 23 inches (18 and 59 centimeters) by the end of the century, and continued melting at the poles could add between 4 and 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters).
• Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger.
• Species that depend on one another may become out of sync. For example, plants could bloom earlier than their pollinating insects become active.
• Floods and droughts will become more common. Rainfall in Ethiopia, where droughts are already common, could decline by 10 percent over the next 50 years.
• Less fresh water will be available. If the Quelccaya ice cap in Peru continues to melt at its current rate, it will be gone by 2100, leaving thousands of people who rely on it for drinking water and electricity without a source of either.
• Some diseases will spread, such as malaria carried by mosquitoes.
• Ecosystems will change—some species will move farther north or become more successful; others won’t be able to move and could become extinct. Wildlife research scientist Martyn Obbard has found that since the mid-1980s, with less ice on which to live and fish for food, polar bears have gotten considerably skinnier. Polar bear biologist Ian Stirling has found a similar pattern in Hudson Bay. He fears that if sea ice disappears, the polar bears will as well.
